Tell me more about this "not buying every beer" Btw, it was more a reference to more great beer coming to Texas that I will want to buy than a reference to Cascade's high prices, if you thought I was trying to be the first one to jump on a "Cascade is overpriced" thread in the SW forum. Once Crooked Stave and The Bruery also hit, we'll all be richer (and poorer).
Poorer is right! At the tap room these are $12 per 350ml bottle. Just dropped $144 for four each of these phenomenal beers. It's only money. I'd rather have beer.
Yeah, I was just at their taproom this weekend during GABF. Bought bottles at a liquor store elsewhere, same prices as far as I know. On tap, I couldn't decide if I liked the nightmare in wine barrels or the nightmare in whiskey + cherries (the one on the right) better. They were both pretty phenomenal. I love Jester King, but I'm excited about comparing/contrasting with some other stuff without having to trade/travel for it. You know, if it ever happens.
Hi everyone, From CA here and I'm heading out to Austin Nov 21-25. I have access to all Cascade, FW barrelworks and Proprietors vintages, and pretty much all the CA beer you could imagine. I'm looking to trade stuff or even have a bottle share while I'm there. Also, beside Jester King what else does everyone recommend and also anyone can PM me if they want anything brought out that way. Let me know and thanks in advance
I'm sure you'll be able to set up some IP's. Austin has great beer choices all around. If you're into IPA's, check out the latest Greenhouse from Hops & Grain, find some Lone Pint Yellow Rose, and hopefully there will be some Austin Beer Works Heavy Machinery around. Also, there's a great saison from Oddwood that's worth trying. I'm sure the ATX BA's could add more...
Lone Star Beverage in Carrollton just tweeted that they are selling strawberry and blackcap rasberry...so I guess it's here!
