My chair was taken by 3 other people already. You may want to look into "My Frisbee", "That Rock", or "Someone's Hat"... :astonished:

If I called my wife any of those things I might not be able to safely make it back to Denver.

You might be shocked and possibly offended by many of the things we call one another...but rock/frisbee/hat is a line we'll never cross.

Got my ticket, who's coming with me!?! But seriously, willing to carpool if anyone is interested in putting together a rideshare from Boulder/Denver. Cheers, Dan

My wife put the kibosh on an October trip, but I still see 6 tickets available at 10:20, so that bodes well for this and future months releases. Good choice Troy.

Ha. Now there are 25 tickets. God bless online ticketing shopping cart expirations. What the Funk would be proud.

See some of y'all on Saturday! I'm psyched and really looking forward to this. August couldn't have been any more chill, so hopefully this will be a similar vibe.

My wife and I are heading up and staying the weekend up there. We'd already planned our trip before this was announced, so there was some risk here, but all in all, seems like a REALLY good idea and much needed. Looking forward to waking up at a reasonable hour, having a good breakfast with my wife and kid, heading over for some time in the hot springs, before finally moseying over for some pours of the best beer in Colorado. Well done Troy!!!

So what happens if at 3pm 40 tickets are still for sell? 40 people can get in line at 3pm and save $20? On the fence about the $20 just to buy already $$ beer vs. getting in line early. Just feels like those who have more $ are rewarded. I don't know... At least Troy is trying something new to keep people off here from complaining or threatening to take someones chair lol

Not waiting in line for 5 hours and having some certainty on what you're getting isn't worth $20 to charity?

You're already planning to buy beers that cost $20-30 a piece. I would think a $20 donation to charity shouldn't be a deal breaker.

This is precisely what Troy is trying to eliminate with this new system. He's trying to avoid having 100 people camping out at his place overnight bothering the neighbors, smoking and drinking, and illegally parking on the street.

Well $20 a month is $240 a year. Like I said I was on the fence about the idea. How about get rid of the monthly public sales completely. Have open house for EF members to come pick up their beers no longer able to buy additional beer other then online. The beer that isn't allocated for them is sent to 20 liquor stores throughout Colorado eliminating people camping out for beer at Troys. The 20 liquor stores then can actually sell the beer to the "public" taking on the problem of people waiting in lines for beer. aka no longer Troy's problem. Just shooting ideas out there guys

Not waking up at the ass crack of dawn and not "wasting" 5 hours of my time is definitely worth $20. If you don't feel that way, you probably shouldn't be spending this kind of money on beer.

I guarantee that would suck a lot more

EDIT: see thread complaining about liquor store holding back product for "special customers/friends"

Man, that would totally kill the whole experience. Personally, I would HATE that. Troy has said from the beginning that he wants people to come out and enjoy Glenwood. This new system most certainly allows for that. It's now feasible to stay up there the night before, visit the springs or go for a hike in the morning, grab lunch with your significant other, and then casually roll over to Casey for a couple beers and to pick up bottles.

Wouldn't the liquor store markup add up to at least the $20 if you were to buy the same amount as allocated? And that's if the store would let you buy that big of an allocation. Then throw in the sales tax and it's even more.
