Actually if you bought a ticket last month and didn't go it says you couldn't go this month either. You're basically put on a one month timeout if you don't go and use your ticket to buy at least partial allocation

So, beyond the release running smoothly today's beers were fan-freakin'-tastic.

    Yep. That stuff is amazing.

I suspect they will be different, but I want to do a side-by-side with Casey's Family Preserve Plum and Tilquin Quetsche.

Agreed. I was looking for you but couldn't find you. Wanted to meet a BA legend.

I loved this too, but I think I'd rank 'em: CFP- Peach, Sleeper Balaton, CFP Plum, FS Peach, Sleeper Bing, Hop Mess.

I"m planning to do this side by side. Should be great.

LOL, I'm about the most nondescript dude you'll ever meet - I'm just old :stuck_out_tongue:
My wife and I got there pretty close to opening time and were on the patio area for about an hour. We had to bail to get some food and to make it home in time for the Bama/LSU game.

Plum CFP was my favorite of the day. Sweet candied plums in the front. Perfect carbonation and acidity. And as it warmed, the flavor got less sweet and it got SUPER funky. Leather and musty funky.

Peach CFP was slightly underwhelming, although we'll see what a little time does. It doesn't have anything to do with the beer being bad, and it might just be my own expectations being off. I was surprised the peach flavor wasn't stronger given it was double the fruit. If you handed it to me blind, I'd have said it was a FS beer. Still very good though, and excellent peach aroma and flavor.

Peach FS was great. Perfect balance and always a favorite FS of mine.

Hop Mess was interesting. Very hoppy, very tropical fruity, and some good Brett character. Only a little tart. In a similar realm of Brett Loves Citra, but I like BLC more than Hop Mess at this point. Very unique and enjoyable beer though.

Both of the Sleeper Cuts (Bing and Balaton) were awesome. Huge fruit, super sour, and brilliant color. Balaton had a little carbonation, and Bing had little to none. The acidity sort of tricks your tongue and it almost feels carbonated. It didn't detract from the experience all that much. It was a great beer for a $6 (half price) pour.

I agree with this. Plum Preserves was downright amazing. One of my favorite beers of all time. Fruit, acidity, funk were in perfect balance. Seriously good. Peach Preserves was good not great. The peach fruit was muted when compared to other beers in the Family Preserves series. I think peach beers are really tough and this one just didn't click for me. The Bing Cherry Sleeper was nice to look at and quite acidic, but as advertised, a little on the flat side. Have not tried the Hop Mess yet, but Troy mentioned that it was his favorite out of the release this month for whatever that is worth.

Tasty stuff . Bummer about the limits on F&F folks.....more BAs should get to try his Preserves.
Glad to see its getting some bigger distro around the resorts though - just in time
With projections for a nice season - I'm getting my snowboards waxed up....

I haven't tried the normal peach fruit stand, but I really like the FP version. It has a fresh juice note that I'm not sure I've gotten in any other peach beer. Usually they taste over-ripe. I think that's where some people aren't feeling it. It tastes more like fresh juice than the overly sweet and possibly over-ripe pulp that you might expect.
The plum is everything people have said it is - wonderful. The strawberry description is apt. While it doesn't necessarily taste like any actual strawberry beers I've had, it does taste like the fruit.
If the bing sleeper had more carbonation it would also have been a classic.
Hop Mess has more bitterness and more of a fresh hop note than BLC. While certainly not a traditional IPA, it tastes a bit closer to one. I think both certainly have their place and I hope we see 'em again next year. On a related note, the last batch of BLC is tasting pretty amazing right now.

Oh and Troy - we'd gladly take some of those Sleeper Cuts off your hands at a reduced price. Maybe get some "Sleeper" stickers to go over the labels so that there is no confusion that the beers are being released with little to no carbonation. Or maybe a "The Cut Doesjel" series?

Or just keep giving us $6 pours at releases for the next 6 months. That's just fine too :grinning:

    Hi guys,

Quick question about the Dec release. When does Casey post the offerings for each release? Should I trust that it will be posted in this thread or is there somewhere better for me to check?

    Thanks in advance!

^^^Boom sauce. Also looked like it may change to one ticket per transaction instead of two, but maybe I misread that. Either way, I'll be there and son I am excite.

I think it's always said one ticket per person but you could buy two where you named the other person during the buying process.
