AH figured you might have been a Barlow Falcon.

I was curious if anyone knew how the ticketing system works out for EF members. Will we still have to purchase a ticket to pick up our allotment or do we get to bypass that due to having access to purchase online? Also has anyone received another email including more details on the EF? Just trying to get everything figured out before the tickets go on sale Weds. in case members are still required to purchase a ticket.

You are not required to buy a ticket. Buy a ticket if you are going up and want to buy another allotment or extra beers from the allotment.

Only 150 allotted allotment tickets. That's not a lot of allotments if you think about it

It's definitely a smaller number of tickets than have previously been available, but with the increase in EF membership, it makes sense. I'm wondering how quickly tickets will sell out though this round with no Cuts or CFP being released and as a result, how busy it will be... This month's release was definitely the busiest ticketed release I've seen (though in comparison to some of the pre-ticketed releases I was at it was incredibly relaxed).

The proximity to New Year's might also be a factor, although it would be an easy ski/Casey combo long weekend.
Not sure if we're going to make this one or not. I am very intrigued by the grape varietals, though.
Hopefully the new EF membership info will be released soon as I do really want those bottles.

Troy mentioned on FB that new members will have access to the online store in time and the EF email will be out next week. Limits will be similar to public release.

Looks like things might change with this addition to the event

Casey Family Preserve: Cab Franc - $28 - 1/person - More grape then the Fruit Stand. 100% CO ingredients.

So, no need to buy a ticket tomorrow, if we have been accepted into EF?

Correct. Unless you plan on attending the release and getting a public allocation.

Wow... I do not follow this thread much (mostly because I work Saturdays and can't get Casey) but the last 4 pages were straight comedy!

Congrats to all who made it in. Bring some back and share with me :grinning:

Anyone know the last batch of Peche or Kriek that Troy worked on while still at AC? I swear I saw it mentioned somewhere, but can't seem to find the info.

very true. 150 Allotting allotments per ticket is nice for allotments.

I'm sure if the beer would allow for more allotments, Troy would align the allotments to allow for more allocations.

Other grape beers are less than intriguing for me (not a fan of most that I have tried), but a big, juicy wine varietal like cab franc sounds delicious. Thinking (hoping) along the lines of Saint Lamvinus...yum.

Cab Franc is a tannic, dry, red grape. It is often added to Cab Sauvignon and Merlot.
"Cabernet Franc is lighter than Cabernet Sauvignon, making a bright pale red wine that contributes finesse and lends a peppery perfume to blends with more robust grapes. Depending on the growing region and style of wine, additional aromas can include tobacco, raspberry, bell pepper, cassis, and violets." [shamelessly copied from Wikipedia]

I suspect this will be a deep and remarkably complex brew. Might just knock your socks off.

I'm very curious how these grape beers will go. Are we going to end up with something like a sour wine or a fruited saison? Anyone have experience with this style?

Avery made a couple a while back. There's a few with "grape must" as well. I've generally not been a fan, but always willing to try again.

Yeah...it is the Avery grape must beers that I don't really like.

Saint Lamvinus uses Bordeaux grapes, i.e., cab franc, merlot, cab sauv, petit verdot, and malbec, IIRC, and that shit is amazing.
