Not at all. He can sell the beer any way he sees fit since it's his beer. I'm not one to care whether I get a beer or not.

My statement was more about there was more beer for sale that could certainly be sold at the release if he wanted people standing in line to get the beer.

He's taking care of the locals, IMHO. I see no problem with that. I recall going to 4 Dogs back in August after I left the 2nd release (to see if they had any B1 left, per Troy's suggestion) and the manager told me how he helped label the bottles of Batch 2 Saison the day before. 4 Dogs is a great local store who have supported Casey from the start. Why wouldn't he send some Oak Theory their way?

Taking what I said wrong. I have no problem how he sells his beer.

Yeah I guess I'm not understanding your point. Curse of the forum format.

May or June for release as of Troy's latest update. As for bottle count, low as always.

Incorrect. April or May, likely May. You are confusing with The Cut Cherry (which is likely June).

Ahhhh yes right you are. Hopefully Blackberry isn't next month though since I can't make that release.

Hoping you guys can help. Anyone have a list of the different Bottlings of Casey Saison?

    Here is what I have:
    Blend 1 5/3/14
    Blend 2 6/25/14
    Blend 3 7/31/14
    bottling 10/9/14
    bottling 11/25/14
    bottling 1/7/15

Just looking at the gaps in dates I'm wondering if I'm missing any. Anyone got any Saison that aren't the dates above or know of a bottling not listed above?

20 Cases of Blackberry Cut, but each of the 89 EF members automatically get a bottle.

That leaves about ~ 150 left to be sold either Saturday or in May.

A little recap on the release today:

Oak Theory magnums were $58. East Bank (most recent blend) magnums were $42.

Vintage Fruit Stand "grab bag" bottles were $22. He had Peach, both Plums, and Blackberry all from last year, and it was a random grab.

Choice of either a magnum or a Fruit Stand (1 per person) per trip through the line.

It was a chilly morning, but turned out to be a beautiful day! And the Cherry Cut was a hell of a nice surprise. Pretty well-carb'd after what, three days in the bottle?? It was absolutely loaded with cherry flavor/aroma.

Agree with everything. One of the smoothest/best releases I've been to. Really chill and the weather was just perfect. @pmoney I believe I met you in line the second time. I was right behind you and we were talking about how good the dry hopped saison was. Cheers!

Can someone who went clarify on The Cut? Was he sampling it out? Anything to go? Cherry or Blackberry? Seems like all the recent chatter on the F&F emails has been wrt blackberry, but based on these comments it sounds like cherry was available to taste, at a minimum?

Nobody tasted Blackberry. No bottles of Cherry or Blackberry were sold to go. Troy brought a case (12 bottles) of Cherry up to the bar a couple hours into the release, and it was available for purchase by the glass for $12. Glasses sold out as quickly as they could pour it.

Cherry will most likely be released in May, and Blackberry will either be released in May or June (more likely) or even after that depending on when he decides it's ready. Apparently Blackberry is still showing a slight hint of diacetyl.

The Cut Blackberry was not ready to be sold or tasted since it's not yet up to Troy's standards.
