We always go on a weekday and during times when English kids are in school. I have a contact, and maybe some of you guys could help me in the future, who tells me when the English school holidays are. That way I can avoid those times. That is why I was so upset on this trip when I saw every European on Earth and their miserable kids were in London. So in Newark we have had quiet and people on the streets are adults. The way I want it.

English school holidays are 'typically' 2 weeks either side of xmas and Easter, last week Feb and Oct, mid July to early Sep, maybe the last week in may too.
Thats London for you - we have to put up with American tourists all year round!!!

I'll bet we were the only Americans in London! I understand the tourist thing and I'm sure it wears on the locals. One thing though is we are respectful and embrace your culture and respect all things. Can't say that for other nationalities we have observed.
