I see they have shrunk Cask Days to 2 days this year but have added a Volo Beer Garden on Sunday. Interesting, as the Sunday mentions draught beers versus cask. Not sure if that is significant or not. Other interesting add-ons include the Cask Lounge, featuring private washrooms, seating area, token booth, and water station and the 'ticketed festival beer' that has no information what it is yet.

Grabbed my Cask Days tickets this morning. Last year I did the Ballers Pass, this year I'm just hitting the Friday afternoon session.

    Anyone else going?

The craft beer event has a VIP area? Wow... Toronto.

I did not but into that one but I'm a bit curious. The exclusive washrooms are the biggest perk as far as I'm concerned. Not sure why you need the rest. I'll be a bit peeved if there are exclusive beers in there however!

Don't blame you! For some reason I'm picturing dudes in suits barely into craft beer but wanting to see what the hype is about while having some sort of "status" while at the event. Brutal.

I wonder if the $4 "Cask Day Festival Beer" is worth it.

    Haven't had it yet.
If you are a ticker you need it. Will it be a 4+ beer? Anyone's guess. It's only $1.50 more than a regular token. I'm not missing out giving my 2 cents for $1.50. lol

I went last year for friday afternoon and sunday. They did have 4 draught taps on sunday with rotating kegs once they kicked, they added a new one.

    Friday afternoon is the best.
They had a corner that ran draught and sold cans over the Saturday sessions. That's where I hung out. Cascade and Hair of the Dog on rotation. Sssshhhhh

Volo has the event Thursday Night as a Cask Days opener. NY beer focused. Also, last year Volo ran events the Friday and Saturday night at the Birreria Volo location featuring some of the same beers, plus some different ones, on draft as we're in Cask at the event. Sunday has the Beer Garden event that is draft not cask based.

See you Friday afternoon - it's the best session, IMO, since the crowd is the smallest of all the sessions. Also going to Birreria Volo on the Thursday night - great idea to have something a bit lower key before the main event.

Not always. Especially if you show up after 9 or 10 which will be like 7pm for you, you probably could walk right now no issues. Also if you see me (Detroit tigers hat) say whats up so I can thank you for the info on BC. Going to the friday afternoon session then taking off to Vancouver saturday am.

Will be there for the Friday evening session (early access) with @msjpearson and likely spending a lot of tokens at the Oregon section. PM if you want to connect.

Was hoping TO regulars would talk about Volo. I event there. Not a regular. Plus it's a Thursday.
As for Cask Days, I'm drinking sours and stouts. Show me a draft line and I'll drink those fancy triple hopped IPAs though! Thursday and Sunday props!

Assuming this mother-of-all colds clears up in time, I have a ticket for the Friday afternoon session with early access. I'll likely be camped out in front of the Oxbow offerings.

To the westerners: thoughts on El Segundo and Beachwood? I'm intrigued more by the breweries than the offerings. Should they be on my list?

    Cheers.
