I will be in Cayuga and want to know of any bottle stores near by. I plan on visiting if time permitting...Two Goats, Iron Grist and Hopshire Farm as well. Also a good burger joint in Ithica.
I'm not a local, but we get up there at least once a year. Finger Lakes Beverage in Ithaca is your best bet. Glenwood Pines for burgers. Two Goats has a great vibe. I haven't been to either of your other two, but I'd put Ithaca Beer Co ahead of them.
Finger lake beverages in Ithaca is the way to go for bottle shops. When are you going to be in that area?
Good burger joint in Ithaca just happens to be Ithaca Beer Co. off Route 13 south of town. Another good one is Ithaca Ale House in town which has Kobe beef burgers and good selection of craft beer. Enjoy.
Yeah, seconded on the burgers at Ithaca Beer Co- they're pretty dope. Better than the beers there these days
I also travel up to the Finger Lakes twice a year. Aside from the suggestions above, try out some of the newer breweries as well. It all depends on how far you want to drive, which given your original post may not be much. Here you go anyways: Hopshire Farm Brewery was quirky and the beers were pretty good, albeit on the sweet side. They're located half-way between Ithaca and Cortland (Cayuga east) so since you already had it on your itinerary, hit it up. Abandon Brewing in Penn Yann (top of Keuka) was one of my favorite new spots. It's located in a renovated barn on a nice property with a TON of draft lines. While you're at it, you can make a quick stop in Keuka Brewing Co. as well Off the brewing trail, Finger Lakes Distilling (east side of Seneca) and Myer Farm (west side of Cayuga) are fun spots. Myer Farm is new and they're putting out some interesting products like a barrel-aged gin and a ginger vodka - naturally sweetened, I believe. Ithaca Beer Co goes without saying. The food is solid and they have a few pilot brews on every day usually. Don't pass up on their Ginger Beer and Root Beer either. I still think they're some of the more flavorful sodas you can buy - and the Ginger Beer makes for a killer Dark & Stormy.
If you are close to Auburn NY, D and L truck stop is the epic DL beer spot in the finger lakes. Trust me on that. Also thirsty pug will have a deec selection.
For a Flyers fan, this guy does a good job of nailing central NY. Ithaca Beer has excellent local, organic burgers, but the Glenwood Pines is where it's at. When are you visiting? There's a ton of great music in the summer (if that's your thing).
I have a store in Auburn less that 10 miles away ThirstyPug.com. I also have 6 beers on tap for pints and growler fills. Our inventory https://www.beermenus.com/places/16014-thirsty-pug
