    The Brett Conspiracy sounds a little like Brett Grisette. Also, 2011 YEMS - please and thank you

    Pretty different beer, actually, and 100% mixed culture barrel fermented and aged. Hope you dig it!

    All beers will be tapped (full kegs only) and pouring at 11am. There will be backup kegs of many beers, too. Our Anniversary Parties are typically pretty cool events without the crush of a Sour Fest.

    Flute = 12oz
    Pilsner = 16oz
    Snifter = 12oz
    Teardrop = 14oz
    Petit = 8oz
    (you forgot) Tulip = 14oz
    Our pints are 16oz, natch

    Cheers!

    Just finished the Ubergang. German Maibock? Melanoidan bliss, bready, toasty, and the Tettanang hops add a nice touch of bitterness in the middle/finish to compliment the Munich malts.

    Great job Will!

    Thank you. Just a toasty lager, nothing more. And kudos go to Anthony and Alex, who brewed that one.

    Went Saturday evening and it was a lot of fun. The wife was a big fan of the Topaz IPA. The Youenjoymystout was my first sour stout. I liked it. Also liked the Lemmy and the Lush Life. Can't wait to come back when it warms up a bit more.

    Did you know this was a sour stout before you got it? I didn't, and was pretty bummed...was not expecting any bit of sour at all.

    heh, i felt the same way in 2011. it grew on me a bit, but i way prefer the non-sour versions of YEMS.

    Sorry the beer was not as you expected. Historically, Russian imperial stouts and Baltic porters would regularly show acidity (see: Carnegie Porter, Courage Imperial Stout, etc.). I would argue that this was not a "Sour Stout" but a stout with tartness appropriate for a beer which was brewed in 2009 and spent two years in oak. While our YEM is typically a very clean beer, with this batch we did add Lacto to one barrel and then blend it in with the rest.

    Just offering a bit more information. Thanks!

    I was in last night; unfortunately the Brett Conspiracy had kicked (still on the board, but gone). I did enjoy a couple of Topaz's; decided to pass on Machinery as I'd had that previously.
