I am heading up to Boston this weekend from Cleveland and I was wondering if CBC does growlers and what beers do they do growler? Do they allow outside growlers? Also what are the general price range?

They only fill their growlers by law, only have their standards (porter, amber, seasonal, pale), and they are something like $10.

Yeah - you're actually better off buying their bombers. More interesting beers are in the bottle. The best of the best is draft only though.

Siberian night & Fitz can easliy be done...nosferatu is way out of season and blackout is as well. Actually blackout was cut very short so they could produce more xmas ale, which i find appalling

As others have mentioned, only the standards plus the one big "seasonal" (Spring Training right now) are available in pre-filled growlers. They also stock their current bombers for purchase at the bar, and they're generally $1-2 cheaper than at most liquor stores. I'd say pull up to the bar for some drafts, and take a couple bombers--and maybe a growler--home with you.

I can't speak for Boston, as I can't really remember if/when I've seen them in Boston. But, they are all over the place in Rhode Island for sure. Just had a variety pack at a friend's house a few weeks ago. The earlier poster might be thinking of Laughing Dog, as they actually have very similar looking labels/branding.

Weekapaug Gruit and Sgt. Pepper should be available there in bottles, which is also on tap right now.

Their Charles River Porter porter is excellent, and it's available in a growler.

Thirded. I've yet to encounter one that I think I'd prefer. Maaaybe Pretty Things EIP or Smuttynose Robust...maybe. But I'd take CBC's over Edmund Fitz, Anchor, and pretty much the rest I've come across.

Thanks for the compliments, guys! Much appreciated.
And comments are spot on regarding growlers - Regatta Golden, Cambridge Amber, Tall Tale Pale Ale, and Charles River Porter, plus currently Spring Training IPA.
In 22's we have Tripel Threat, The Audacity of Hops, Sgt. Pepper, and Weekapaug Gruit available.
Coming in June in 22's - Red God.
All our 22's are available state-wide at better beer stores and restaurants (via our distributors- Craft Brewers Guild, L. Knife <south shore/cape/islands> and Seaboard <north shore>) so if you don't see 'em, please let the management know that you want 'em.
    Thanks!

    Cheers,
    Will

What about Bannatyne's Scotch Ale? I thought it's still available. My personal favorite in 22s.
