    Lineup looks awesome.

Rye Rye Rocco is a favorite of mine. Also looking forward to going hard on Brett Grissette.

Last year was a mad house. It was also on a Thursday night IIRC. Hopfully the all day Saturday deal works out better. When that place gets super busy it gets hot and the sweaty crowd smell can become overwhelming.

    Anybody else going?

I will most definitely be there. I'm hoping since it is all day that it won't be quite as much of a zoo as last year. Don't sleep on Picture of Nectar! It was one of the best sours I had all year last year.

Didn't go last year but definitely going this year. Is there a chance they will run out of some of their offerings? And is it difficult to order a beer?

I am planning to stop by sometime in the afternoon. Hopefully it isn't too hectic and they don't start running out midway through the day.

Haha, I'm sure your avatar pic has nothing to do with your liking that beer.

I'm also looking forward to it. And Jack Straw :sunglasses:

I'm really excited for this too. I hope that they operate like they did with the Barleywine Fest a couple of months ago. They'd pour out beers and put glasses in separate designated sections for each beer on the back/service bar area so that servers could snag beers and bring them out easily. It eased some of the bottle (keg?) neck. However, I don't know if the fact that these are sours (instead of barleywines) will change how they operate.

Really looking forward to doing a vertical of the Cerise.

I'll be there tomorrow evening after hitting Trillium. Looking forward to the funky Brett takes on CBC's classics!

Plan on getting there between 7 and 8. Think there will be a line like before the Pumpkin festival was ticketed?

Also, the blog says 11 to 11. I thought last call was 1245?

Always a great idea to alert people to a fest that was a sweaty, smelly mad house the year before.

If it's busier than the 25th anniversary party I'll be shocked. That was busy but well run. If it's run the same way, things should go smoothly.

I just have flashbacks to Zwanze Day at Hobo. People ask when they need to show up, veteran craft drinker says I was there at X and got in no problem. So every newbie sour drinker shows up 2 hours before X to make sure they get in first. And then declares that last years version, which they didn't taste, was better.

Basically, I'm not a big fan of the Boston/Cambridge beer geek scene.

Yup. Even the CBC pumpkin festival has increased exponentially in popularity. The night session sold out in under an hour.

Pumpkin I get. It's seasonal and New England, where most people have had pumpkin head or some kind of pumpkin beer before. But sours are obscure, or at least used to be. But people hear beer fest or hard to get in the case of Zwanze and lineup. Kind of sucks the fun out of things. I'm just hoping that mead takes off in popularity so we can have beer back and the trend followers move on.

Well the weather outside is definitely frightful, but the sours are delightful. They are pre-pouring beer for this event which is a smart move... I encourage people to brave the weather and come check it out!

The line was minimal pre-opening. Maybe 20 people. Really wish they bottled their sours. Picture of Nectar is insanely good.

Well, the saving grace with this one, is that aren't sessions, and there aren't specific times for beers as was the case with the pumpkin festival and Zwanze Day.

At least I was still able to obtain tickets for NERAX rather easily. Hopefully flat, room temperature, under-hopped, low abv "session" beers never become the next "thing".

Rye rye Rocco is done. Replaced by a really interesting smoked sour.
