Maybe we can convince Esquire or Mens Journal to proclaim imported lagers as the next best thing and a test of your manhood.

It's busy but not crazy. Still smells fresh.

Edit: the bar area is crazy. The dining looks like a 30 min wait.

Loved the pre poured beers for dining room patrons. Great way to handle the crowds. Very well run day. Fantastic beers had as well.

Never followed up on this. Showed up around 8, only four sours were left (two of which were on tap at Lord Hobo too). Moral of the story, go in the afternoon for sour fest!

I'd also like to say one of the bartender's was quite rude to me. And it wasn't busy at all at that time, otherwise I would have understood (not that the staff has been rude to me in the past when it is busy). Out of the four sours that were left, none were on the current menu. I asked if there were any recommendations, he said "no" and walked away.

I asked another bartender who was very helpful (as is Will and his staff during every other experience I've had at CBC).

Mainly wanted to post this so everyone knows the earlier you go, the more sours you get. Otherwise, still love CBC and each fest they put on.

Anybody know when the Anniversay party is this year? One of chillest beer outings to attend, especially if it is nice out.

I think you meant "chillest" (not coldest)? It's usually in early May (which this year might be cold, given the crap weather we've had).

Thanks for your post. I am very sorry to hear that you were treated poorly by one of our bartenders. I am surprised, but these things do happen despite the fact that there is no excuse for rudeness amongst our staff.

As for the lack of beers late in the evening, we opened at 11am with 14 sour beers on tap, with three different kegs of backup beers in reserve. The last of the three reserves was tapped at 5pm, shortly before I left the event for the evening. All in all, we poured 17 different CBC sour beers (including our collabs with Boulevard and Ninkasi), and went through 17 kegs.

We are very pleased with the turnout for this event and more than a little surprised by the volume of beer that was consumed. (You guys are awesome!)

I would not go out of my way to recommend that everyone come early next year - this will only turn the event into a shitshow. Please take my word that we will make certain that we have an even greater quantity and variety of beers available for Sour Fest 2016, so that people can enjoy these beers all day and all night.

    Thanks again for the support!

    Cheers,
    Will
