Anyone around Grand Rapids, MI, The Winchester had a Founders beer pairing breakfast this morning and had left over KBS and CBS, as posted on their facebook page. There's currently 3 bottles of CBS waiting to be drank here. There's a also KBS.....but come on....CBS! Get here now! I'm at the corner of the bar if you stop in.

How much are they charging for the bottle?

$12 if you can believe it. But no "to go" orders, have to drink it here. Trust me I asked.

Are they really still there? I was at the breakfast this morning.

Yes they still have some. They posted on Facebook right at 11:00 that they had leftovers. I figured they wouldn't last past noon. The wife and I intended to go to Vivant for the Wood Aged party but the lines were out the door so we came here. Didn't even think of asking if the leftovers were still around until my wife spotted a guy with a KBS at the bar. We're leaving now and they have one bottle left.

I am assuming you had one of these-I was just curious, How are bottles of CBS holding up?

I had one this morning and they are holding up just fine. It was far better than the kbs.

I find it hard to believe that a beer prominently featuring coffee and maple is holding up very well after a year; had a CBS on tap @ Mackenzie in Minneapolis recently and it was a shell of it's former self. Don't believe the hype.

Thats why they make so many different types of beers! No one persons opinion is better than another, including your own.

I can't speak to the KBS, as I'm not sure what vintage they were serving, but the CBS was just as good as I remember. I've had a bottle from my celler last Feb and then on July 4th and I haven't picked up any degradation in flavors. Just a sweet mapley bourbony coffeey? delight. It was pretty much bliss. That's my take on it. I was shocked that they lasted there all day.
