CBS in Philly

    Figured since there was a CBS in NJ and CBS in NYC/NYS thread there should be a Philly one. Anyone have a lead on any tappings in Philly? NJ has had 2 so far to my knowledge, so Philly must be coming soon. City Tap House in University City is having a Founders tap takeover on Sunday the 4th, I wonder if it's possible we'll see CBS there

    Yeah I saw that, I was just kinda hoping it'd be a last minute addition hah. They're having like every Founders beer currently brewed on tap so it only seems right for them to get a keg of CBS. Wishful thinking I suppose

    Capone's had it a few months ago, but that was from the original batch. Theres 2014 kegs floating around Founders' distro now

    That was a hoarded 3 year old keg. It was a travesty that they kept it for so long.

    I expected to see it on that CTH list as well. It is unlikely that they would do a surprise tapping either. I'll let ya know if I hear anything.

    I was wondering (to myself) whether it would be at the City Tap House event as well. Not that I'm doubting, but why would it be unlikely that there would be a surprise tapping? Just not in CTH (or Founder's) character/history?

    That said, I'm heading there regardless, haven't had my KBS fix yet this year!

    It's definitely in character for Founder's considering no one even knew CBS was being rereleased until it started showing up at bars. I guess just based on the fact that every other CBS event has had it advertised and you'd think CTH would want to advertise for a beer like that so as to draw an even bigger crowd.

    Yeah, good point. I will hold out hope that Philly is special and gets the surprise nod. I say we're worth it.

    I don't see why Philly wouldn't get a shot of CBS. Jersey City and Brooklyn Barcades all got CBS. Maybe we will get lucky at ours. Stockertown Beverage distro Founders in Philly so if anyone has connections ask them if they got any and if so which accounts are getting it.

    I'm thinking about going tomorrow just so I can ask the Founders rep for any insight. Philly almost certainly will get a keg or 2

    CTH seems to be actively anti-shitshow, one of the things I like about the place, so I could see them having it as a surprise tapping.

    I am surprised none has been announced anywhere yet. It's hard to imagine Philly not getting any, Founders seems to be very popular here.

    I saw the couple they tapped, all were way up in North Jersey :/ just holding out hope for one in SJ/Philly
