I did speak to the Founders rep that was there that day and asked about CBS - he did say Philly would be getting "some amount, somewhere, at some point". Granted, I was a complete stranger and he had no reason to give me specifics. But he seemed to realistically not have any concrete details while being sure that we would be getting some for an event. So here's hoping!

If SJ gets it, it'd have to be the Pourhouse, right?

Either them or Blue Monkey. My brother in law owns House of Brews and has a pretty good relationship with the Founders rep, I'm trying to get him to find out some info for me on SJ kegs

Just saw another tapping in NJ yesterday. Still no signs of CBS in Philly?

I assume the post being referred to is the Old Bay Restaurant in New Brunswick.

This is correct. I have a friend who works for the Founders distributor in the Philly area. He confirmed the other day that they had the kegs but did not know when they were going to get distributed out to their top accounts.

Looks like Al's of Hampden (Pizza Boy) is tapping their keg some time tomorrow before 5PM. Hope we finally start seeing kegs pop up around Philly!

Must find a way there. I work in down town Harrisburg but take the train in from Chesco.

Seems like the keg at Pizza Boy today lasted about an hour. Also Iron Abbey announced their CBS event for Feb 21st at 11AM. That won't work for me of course lol hope I can make one of these tappings some day

Based on their facebook post it lasted 5 hours. Seems like a long time but would need to be in the area already.

Yeah they tapped it a little after noon and I got the official "it's kicked" post right about 5:30. I happened to be in the area for work (what a coincidence) so I was there immediately. They started with 8oz pours for the first 20-25 people or so but then realized it wouldn't last long and cut it back to 4oz, it was also a 1 per person limit.

    Worth the hype?

Honestly I'd have to say no. It was good but not mind blowing, I expected more maple syrup flavor and someone I was with confirmed that it had a lot less of that flavor than an original bottle he had before. That being said I am happy I got to try it, it worked out perfectly for me and I couldn't imagine all of the extra hype and craziness that will probably come along with the Philly area tappings.
