Anybody have an idea of when a safe time to get to iron abbey tomorrow would be? Would 8am be too early? Too late?

    Thanks for any info!

I would believe that is too early, by who knows. I believe founders do 1/4 kegs for their specialty drafts.

Based on this figure, without spillage and at 5 oz a pour, there should be close to 200 servings. I'm aiming for 10am should I decide to go.

By the way, I'm told 7 kegs for the Philly area (don't know if this is 100% accurate, but told this by a pretty reliable source). 4 have occurred or already made public (Sidecar, Iron Abbey, Greeks, City Tap House). I know of 2 other bars that have kegs. 1 will likely make the tapping known; the other will not. I have no idea about the 7th keg, if one actually exists.

Al's of Hampden in Harrisburg tapped a keg two weeks ago, I assume that came from Philly. Could that be your mythical 7th keg?

In the past, Kite n Key, SPTR, Devils Den, and POPE have had CBS.

hmmm. maybe. I'm not really sure what "the philly area" meant when I was told about 7 kegs.

Was able to get 2 pours at Iron Abbey yesterday because they had extra after the ticket allotment.

There is at least one other keg in the south central PA area getting tapped soon.

Anybody know how the railroad event will work? Tickets? Free for all? Starts at 1, so getting there at 9 would probably be safe?

Sorry for the dumb questions. I'm new to this type of thing.

They haven't announced it to the public yet, just their special VIP club, so I wont be stealing their thunder.

Railroad event will be very straitforward. No tickets just show up and grab a beer. It's a pretty low key place so usually their special tappings aren't too crazy. I can't foresee there being a line or anything. For example they had a Vanilla Rye tapping a few weeks back and it lasted close to 2 hours. Should be able to show up at 1 and get a pour. They won't limit you either so if you're lucky you can probably grab more than 1. Also be sure to grab something to eat there as their food is amazing.
