Seems like SA was last on the drop-list for CBS. It came from the north lol seems to have hit Dallas first, then Austin, etc

Spec's Smith St. sold out early this afternoon. I guess and hope my local Spec's get CBS Friday still like the guys told me and didn't today :-|
I have 2 bottles, would like to get a couple more.

Yeah the Whole Foods next to me in Northwest Houston put it out and the person didn't know what it was so they didn't set a limit on it, 3 guys came in and got 5 bottles apiece.

See, that's excessive to me. You know damn well that people want these bottles, so why go and get 15 of them?? I get that you want to trade them or what not, but there's others that just want the chance to drink it for the first time. Would it have killed them to just get 3 a piece? Not cool in my book.

Yeah I feel the same way. When I walked into HEB there were still 3 bottles left and a limit of 2. I had already got one at Total Wine, so I grabbed one more and moved on. There is a local bar serving it next week so will try to grab a taste there and save these for Christmas.
note: here I am all high and mighty but I drove around and scored 2 bottles :slight_frown:

Nothing wrong with that. I went to my HEB and grabbed two bottles also. It was limit 1pp, but the guy let me take two. Sure I couldve gone back the next day and gotten more, but I am fine with my two. I'd rather leave the rest for others to try. Now if its still sitting there next week, I might be inclined to grab another.

Only downtown and Rayford Spec's got cbs and it's gone. ‍♂️
Try again in 2020. Got a couple bottles, but wanted more.

Many a reports that 'tis not the CBS of old...

Can anyone disconfirm that and say that it is fantastic and absolutely worth it?

@Avelasquez80 - Completely share your sentiment.

    Now for my overreactive story:

I went to the Parish DDH Ghost release ystrdy. From Houston I got there at 8am (thus, left HOU at 4am). I was about 35th in a line that grew to easily 300 people - maybe more. This was a NO LIMIT release.

ANYWAY - the point - the first maybe 12 peeps in line (who got there the night before ) - ending up buyer THOUSANDS of dollars worth of product. One guy wanted a whole palate of Ghost (which was like 200 crates worth). It held the entire line up beyond what was acceptable after all of us waited in the cold all morning - just to get these 10 - 12 people's orders filled. What a dick.

IMO - This dude is a total craft tool. I have no respect for this human-being. He should get a girlfriend and a real job. Shave his predictable stupid ass beard and stop being such a hoarder. If he cared less about beer trades and more about his position in the world, maybe he'd get out of his job at Taco Bell and start doing something more productive.

Craft beer should be a hobby. Unfortunately it also attracts dipshits.

    End overreactive rant.

I never sampled the previous CBS versions, but I enjoyed thoroughly the bottle I opened Friday. I'm glad I have another in the cellar, but probably won't spend $25 to add another, if that answers your question.

GTFO dude....that is really REALLY effed up!!! F$%ked up on their part AND the brewery as well. If all they care about is their bottom line, then that really seems like a big FU to the rest of the crowd that bothered to show up to their release. I get that yeah, you're in line and what not, but they could've pulled them aside and kept the line moving.

Saw multiple CBS bottles for $24 at HEB in San Antonio (nacodoches rd & new braunfels ave location).

Visiting the in-laws (I'm from Chicago) if anyone can pm me any bottle shop recommendations while I'm here in town.
