CBS is back

Champp's in Brookfield, WI is tapping a keg this evening, 4pm I believe.

 

I can second that as I have heard that as well.

On a side note, Mittenfest is on Saturday and Burnheart's will have a "special" keg of something...would have to guess it's CBS. Not sure when it taps but the party starts at noon and is always a fun time!

 

Pretty sure the statement....."Could Be Something..." is a dead giveaway.

 

Went over for lunch today and had a couple. Tasting SO good! $12 for 10 oz. snifter.
They also have Hopslam on tap as well.

 

If I were a gamblin' man (and I'm not), I'd put my money on Hopcat and 20 Tap both having kegs of it. When they'll tap them? Who knows.

 

Anyone know of any other future chicago tappings besides the Grafton and World of Beers?

Wow. I didn't believe you so I checked out their website and you are absolutely correct. I'm really surprised to see they still have it on tap. I would have thought they would save any CBS that they had left for their Black Party, Founders Fest or some other event.

 

Anything coming up in Wisconsin tomorrow for CBS?

Cleveland Pub and Grill on Saturday...1130am. I believe that's New Berlin, just west of Milwaukee.

 

Well, I'm bored at work today so I decided to compile a list for all of you Chicagoans of the places that have or announced that they will tap CBS. According to the manager at Black Rock and the Evanston World of Beer website, 18 kegs of CBS made it to Chicago. That seems to be pretty spot on with people hearing ~20. In no particular order:

• Black Rock
• Sheffields
• Local Option
• Long Room
• Map Room
• Beer Bistro (West Loop)
• Hopleaf
• World of Beer (Evanston) - Tapping tonight @5pm
• Dirty Nellies (Palatine)- Tapping on 2/8
• The House Pub - Tapping 2/12
• The Grafton Pub - Tapping 2/14

That's 12 different bars so far. Any insight on where the other 6 kegs will be tapped? Please correct me if I left out anything.

 

I'd be shocked if 20 Tap doesn't get some but haven't heard about any other potential tappings so far. Anyone hear how many kegs made their way to Indy?

 

I wouldn't be surprised if they had several kegs saved for events coming up this year.

Not sure if this post is what caused the chaos, but Champps was pretty packed for this and the keg kicked in a little over 20 minutes. I was lucky to get a pour, but I saw a lot of unhappy campers. It was worth the hassle.

 

It was hard to tell from pictures, but was it full pours?

 

Mine was a full pilsner glass, so at least 10 oz pours.

 

Cool. I bet there were some butthurt people. Working until 6pm I knew there was no chance of getting any so I'm looking to future tappings. Cheers brother!

 

Thanks for those. Although, I couldn't find any info on the Bangers and Lace tapping. Source? Info?
