CBS is back

The only reason they missed out is because they came late. After everyone at the bar (and the waitstaff and their tables) it stopped being poured. I saw 4-5 minutes where people could have ordered a second pour (which a few people did). I saw/heard people walking in at 5pm and asking for CBS...hopefully they weren't surprised (butthurt) it already kicked.

 

At least 10oz pours...

Just showing that there was at least 10oz....looked/felt closer to 12oz. Proper pour for the price.

 

I assumed he was asking your take on how good it was..,

 

They tapped it on MLK day. No announcement. It lasted all day and kicked the next day I believe.

 

Bangers & Lace CBS tapping was a few weeks back on a Saturday... the 17th? 24th? Something like that.

Yeah what did you think of it? I let mine get pretty close to room temp before getting into it. Loved the maple syrup finish.

 

Absolutely loved it. I actually got 2 (closer to 1 1/2) pours and the 2nd I let sit for an hour or so. Definitely got better as it warmed, the maple smoothed out the coffee and bourbon so nicely! The only other time I tried it was last year and it was a total anise bomb, I still question the contents of that bottle. I am now content after tasting it last night!!!

 

LOL. I'm still fuzzy from last night, followed Champps up with quite a few bottles from CW while watching an awesome Bucks game. Twas a good night.

 

The bank account took quite a beating this week. Seems like the beer gods dropped a ton of bombs on us all at once.

 

Not getting any better with NG Enigma and CW Space Ghost coming out....then there is Mitten Fest on Saturday. Yikes!

 

Flo and Santos in the south loop is tapping @7pm tonight. Not that it will help anyone get there in time because tickets were sold @5pm (unless they are still available?) but you can add it to your list.

 

In Ann Arbor, Ashley's and HopCat will be going head-to-head and offering both CBS and KBS on Saturday the 14th. Leave your valentine at home.

Hopcat is going to be a madhouse as it is their grand opening. Ashley's is small and they're doing a BBA beer fest that day ... you'll be able to get KBS, CBS, Black Note, BCBS, and about 20 other BBA beers. They also haven't announced what time CBS and KBS are going on as far as I know.

So both may be jam-packed.

 

Sounds like founders it is hope they will still have some CBS next Saturday

 

A friend of mine knew about this and told me yesterday. May or may not make it. They are selling tickets for CBS pours at 1pm for a 3pm tapping.
