CBS Trade Value

    Anyone care to share what they've gotten or given for a CBS? I'd like to secure one but I don't want to sell the farm. I can live without if it's going to take a Westy, DL, Darkness & Abyss or something to obtain.

    It would take more than a Westy, DL, Darkness or Abyss to land it at this point. Not even a combo of those.

    EDIT: Well, depending on the vintages and quantity

    Trade value is pretty high. Are you saying you wouldn't give up all or one of those beers to obtain a CBS?

    It's probably going to take at the very least one of those to land it, unless you find someone generous or looking to unload one. Good luck!

    It certainly won't take all the beers you mentioned, but a Westy, DL, Darkness, or Abyss separately will NOT do it

    I have a CBS and none of those will pull it from me. Maybe two and certainly three would get it done.

    Sorry, that was supposed to be an outrageous example. But the general consensus seems to be more than one but less than four?

    Why is the trade value so high? Is it never getting made again?

    No one knows for sure, but many say yes. The when would be the real question.

    I love CBS, but I don't try to trade for it.... It's like the last few pringles in the can.... sometimes you gotta just let em' go.

    If all I had to do was go to 5 different stores to get every limited release beer I wanted, that would be great.

    Pretty sure I traded this away for next to nothing...I'd say I regret it, but I made a really good trading partner out of it, and isn't that what trading is all about? Maybe not, whatever.

    *Also, I drank 5-6 glasses of it at the Founders Black Party. I'm all set.

    I thought you were suppose to eat the last Pringles straight from the can? How else could you get them?

    Anyway, my first question asked what other people have gotten/given for CBS. Anybody want to chime in on that one?

    I have done the following:
    CBS for 2012 Kate the Great
    CBS + KBS for Darkness 11 and a 4 pack of Wet
    CBS + for Darkness 11 x 2 and I think we did a little bit of expanding

    Regardless, I am pretty sure this beer is just about past its prime right now, the maple was weak to begin with. I enjoyed everything I traded my CBS for more than CBS itself. If you want some delicious maple syrup barrel aged beer from founders, 09 nemesis is fantastic right now

    I traded mine for BCBVS. I wouldn't have done it if I didn't already get to try CBS elsewhere.

    I tried to work out a deal but the other trader wanted Black Tuesday + Arctic Devil or BB4D because it was an "extremely rare and tasty beer". Oh well, I'm sure I'll run into it eventually.

    I haven't had these in forever, but normally I would try to pour them in my mouth, but they would all fall at once and end up all over my shirt or something.
