CCB Growler Tuesday Thread

It looks like a small, dark blue water bottle, that fits in an expensive road bike, with red lettering.

 

Here it is next to a standard can and a standard 12 oz bottle for size comparison.

 

Thanks. And interesting. I will discuss this with my favorite bottle shop/growler filler. (I sure do envy you Cat folks.)

Where did you hear only six cases left? Also, when will you be there tomorrow? 6 cases should easily last from now till opening tomorrow morning

Had a crowler of Hardywood GBS that was 7 weeks old when I drank it, still awesome, fully carbed, and great flavor...

Longest on a 64 oz growler, 15 months, Founder Breakfast Stout, filled the middle of October 2013, drank it last week, beer was fully carbed, filled within 1 inch of the top and 2013 was much more roasty and coffee than 2014, which I think has more chocolate notes and a little more balanced.

 

Exactly, they hold up in the right conditions! I have this years Winter Warmer Warmer Winter in my fridge, in a 32oz growler, waiting for a less hoppy better day..

 

Yep, in the fridge the entire time, also have a 2013 BCBS and BCBW, and Plead the 5th, all filled from May to July...and a Carton Decoy, 2013 that a buddy got me and sent this past summer.

 

Today's offering is Mango Chili Red Ale

 

This Tocobaga treatment is made with the same ancho and pasilla chiles that we put into Hunahpu's Imperial Stout. You'll notice an earthy flavor from the peppers rather than a spicy kick. The mango is the most prominent addition to this treatment.

 

Did anyone get an extra crowler of this? Im coming this evening and Id like to get one for a friend!

 

Growler Tuesday is Biere de Chard. Chardonay barrel aged Biere de Garde. 11.7% ABV. $20 for a 32oz growler

 

Any wild-ass speculation or insider info for today? I'll be optimistic and hope for something Zhukov related..

 

I heard that it is going to be White Oak Fireball IPA again...but that is just speculation based off of some insider info I heard this past weekend. Which means it could have changed. Should know for sure once they open.
