I was just curious on the bottle count and price of Leon??? I thought I heard around $20 on the price, but I could be wrong. I have no idea on the bottle count.

Price was $20 brewery only. I believe I have heard bottle count was around 1200, but I don't think it has ever officially been announced.

ahhh I thought it was much higher than that....I remember when it first released at the brewery people were talking about buying cases of it and that there was no limit...I knew it was brewery only, but by the way people were posting on here I assumed it to be a much higher bottle count than 1200.

As I said that's what I thought I heard, but I could be completely wrong. AFAIK CCB never said exactly how much was made

As someone who has tasted it I think it isn't trading high enough, it is absolutely fantastic. I really wish I had bought a whole case. As it stands I only have a few bottles left and they are not going to be traded away since I really don't see myself enjoying what it will fetch as much as I enjoy drinking Leon.

oh my thoughts on it trading too high were not based on taste...ive never had it...but a apple brandy barrel aged english barleywine from cigar city can only be amazing..it just sounds amazing....but again I thought the bottle count was so much higher than 70 cases, which is only 840 bottles. Combine the low bottle count with it probably tasting amazing and yeah I can see why its trading so high

This. Probably the highlight beer of 2012 for me. I'd trade anything and everything in my cellar for a case.

does anyone know the imp sweet stout bottles number? that seems to be trading much more readily. i was lucky enough to get a leon and a few sweet stouts in trade, haven't had the leon yet but the sweet stout is fucking amazing.

I'm sure the Sweet stout was a bigger batch than Leon, I was able to get a good bit of sweet stout and din't land any leon (i live in south florida so Leon was all out when i got my but up to Tampa) i was lucky enough to have it on tap cause that same weekend i was up there they ran it on daft. Leon is amazing but I'd have to say Sweet stout is a slight bit better for my taste. CCB is just killing it with their BA program.

I believe sweet stout was about the same bottle count. I was there the day after it was released and picked mine up. I did not get any on tap, but after having it I wish I had bought a whole case rather than just a half. What an amazing beer.

You could be right it just seems that the Leon went a bit faster.

From reliable inside sources, this is the number I heard. Also heard the BA Church count was around 750. Nothing "official" has ever been endorsed, though...
BA Sweet Stout, IMO, is one of the best CCB has put out...it reminded me so much of a form of BA Hunahpu. My only regret is not picking up more and there's no way I'd consider letting it go for anything, really.

Is this thread still about Leon??

I was at the Brewery on both days that Leon was released and Sweet Stout. Took the tour and saw just 1 pallet and couple of cases of Leon that day, and 2 pallets of Sweet Stout. So I can only assume that the Leon was a smaller bottle count. Does anyone know how many bottles/cases fit on a pallet?
