Saw my bottle shop has this. Anyone tried it yet? Not huge into brown ales but their Cubano espresso is solid and nice to have around.

It's pretty good, give it a taste.

Edit: It's on the sweeter side.

it's a Rock Brothers beer, not CCB.

And thank goodness for that. I had it at Green Bench back in December; just did not like it at all. And I love a good brown ale. Come to think about it, I really didn't enjoy any of the beers I had there. Just... average.

I think it's contract brewed at CCB, but not by Wayne's team.

I heard it through the grapevine CCB wants to distance themselves from this beer.
No mention of this at all on their social media.

Though it's just the grapevine so take it with a grape of salt.

doubt it because it's on tap in the tasting room right now.

Technically, there could be contractual obligations that require them to sell the beer in the tasting room until only X amount remains. This could be in effect while also making it known to the beer community that it is not a beer recipe from CCB, but instead just brewed in collaboration with them.

This is all conjecture of course.

I'm sure they'd love to distance themselves from plenty of beers. Not everything is a homerun out of the ballpark. Especially with collabs. But, it's fun working with other brewers and trying new things. Keeps you from getting uber-bored.
