I'm holding another tasting but this time with CCB Brews. I'm having about 20 people this time! It keeps getting bigger every time (that's what she said)! Sorry I couldn't help myself. Here's the list: Tocobaga Maduro Jose Marti Cubano Espresso Black Whole Improv Tropical Heatwave Big Sound Kalevipoeg Church on a Hill Humidor Series Bolita Brown Auld Alliance Dos Costas Oeste (High Gravity aged on grapefruit wood spirals) Dos Costas Oeste (High Gravity aged on lemon wood spirals) Dos Costas Oeste (High Gravity aged on cedar wood spirals) Criterium El Murcielago (Cream Ale Aged in Tequila Barrels) HUNAHPU
If I lived near you, Id already be there, doing a pre-tasting beer with you! PS that Cubano Espresso was really good, people around me loved it.
20 ppl? sounds like a lot of fun. everyone drinks 1 ounce of 20 different beers. to me, you can't really go above 11 people for a tasting. at least that way you all get 2 ounces on a 22 bomber. less than an ounce isn't worth it...you can't even taste it. what if you like it or brought it? nothing like getting an ounce pour on a beer you traded your cellar to get. i'm curious to hear how you handled some of the 12oz'ers with a group of 20? don't mean to be capt downer, but 20 ppl is too much in my opinion.
I had at least 2 bombers of each brew if not 3. Plus six packs. Everyone had more than enough beer. Great time too. I'll post results shortly.
