CCB Zhukov release around the corner

Last year it sold out in a matter of hours. I suspect it will sell out quickly again but I'd bet that CCB made more this time around. If nothing else, going to 22oz bottles should up the bottle count by 10% or more.

 

I guess I'll probably chance it then.

 

Consistently one or my favorite releases every year. The sad thing is it doesn't really start reaching it's full potential til a year or so on it, but the last couple of years no matter how much I've bought I can't seem to keep enough of it around to last more than 6 months.

Also, my yearly Zhukov hookup has disappeared from BA. Are you still around these parts @Finatic ? I've got a few Mexican Cakes with your name on them!

Last year that first half batch really caused early chaos and made MZ seem like a mega whale, then it sat on shelves for a bit when the 2nd batch came around. I saw bottles at Whole foods for 3 weeks.

So if you need a new MZ hookup, just let me know. I'd be happy to send some your way.

 

I always hate myself in hindsight for trading, but I always trade for some freshies of this.

 

In Naples it sat on the shelves at Total Wine for like 3 months. Meanwhile in Miami if you weren't the first few in line at 8:30 am you were getting shut out.

 

What time will it go on sale August 4th in the tasting room?

Had the 2014 yesterday at Sud Swap in Miami...it's Zhukov allright!

 

At least it will increase the bottle count so more folks will get it but I feel ya. Love the 750's

 

Oh please.. They don't and won't charge more.. I highly suspect they'll charge the same price, but if it's more per ounce than before, to cover the cost of the added bottle expense, then so be it.

My family has moved from Tampa, so if there's someone that wants to be a mule for some Zhukov for me, then by all means.. Even if they move to 12 ounce bottles, I'm in!

 

I need more of this. I had a 2012 recently and it's the best non BA stout I've ever had.

 

FWIW Cucumber Saison was cheaper this year I believe.
When I paid 9.99 at 67 I thought it was a mistake since the are usually 2-3 dollars over TW prices, not sure how much it cost there.

 

I've been counting down to this one too. One of my favorites from Cigar City and favorite beers in general. Heading to the brewery once they are for sale.

 

I found this the same also. Slightly cheaper than the last release in 750s.

 

From what I'm gathering according to CCB's FB page it looks like Zhukov will distro and is due to hit on August 1st.

Bottles will go on sale at the brewery on the 4th.
