CDAs to take on pseudonyms in Canada?

    According to Vancouver blogger "Barley Mowat", Steamworks Brewery is telling BC breweries using "Cascadian Dark Ale" to cease and desist, based on a trademark for their "Cascadia Cream Ale". Case in point, Parallel 49's latest Black Christmas seasonal is being marketed as a “Christmas Dark Ale", but there's nothing Christmas-sy about it -- a straight-up CDA.     That's the same logic as having the term " ham " trademarked even though it's all just pork. CDA is a beer style... no one owns the rights to use the name lager or ale why is cascadian dark ale an exception? sounds like someone at steamworks has some sand in their vag...
