Celebrating Lager Day

Of that I have no doubt. I assume you've been there- that does sound like quite the beverage. Can you think of anything similar that's available over here?

 

good for you ... nothing wrong with a Sam Adams doubleheader (and i'll be cracking open a Sympathy for the Lager to celebrate Lager Day here in a few)

 

Nothing similar I've encountered here in the States.

But then one problem is separating the context of time and place from the beer itself. Imagine several days of productive work, social time and meals with good friends and new friends. Imagine a couple of days of private time sitting with a good book on a bench on the banks of the river Inn, and dining each night on local cusine and the beer described in the Blog.

Heard about this earlier and since I'm more of an ale guy but look for any excuse to drink I went out and grabbed some Sam Adams Winter Lager. No badge on Untappd though! What kind of holiday is this?!
