I like the bar top. Bottle caps as surface. How did you do that? Are they set in expoxy or something? How did you keep them from floating to the surface when you did it?

Glue the caps to the bar before you set the epoxy. Using a torch to melt the epoxy and remove cracks/bubbles is also a good finishing touch.

Hey buddy thanks for the kind words. How I did it was I took some of the Gorilla brand crazy glue and tacked all the caps down then I poured a product called Kleer Kote which is a Epoxy Resin. It was very time consuming and probably took as long if not longer than building the bar itself

    1. Is it hard to not drink these beers when you go down to the cellar?
Not if you keep plenty of fresh everyday type beer in the fridge. If your fridge is empty, you'll be tempted to dip into your cellar.

    2. How do you know when a beer has reached it's optimum age?
I read reviews on here and that other website. If I have more than one of the beer (a sixer or a case), I'll try it at different intervals until I don't think it can improve anymore. However, I will admit the scientist side of me wants to keep pushing it to see how much more a beer can change/improve.

    3. How can you tell which beers are a good candidates to age?
First, I read reviews on here and that other website. Second, anything I think can improve that has a decent ABV and is of a typical aging style (barleywine, stout, belgian, etc.), I'll stick into the cellar to see what happens. Part of the reason I started cellaring beer was the experiment side of it. If it was full proof, I don't think I'd like it as much as I do. Now, I do think you can go overboard, and when you see people sticking stuff that will clearly just bomb into their cellars, they need to do a little more research.

I hate these threads! They make me want to pack up and move to the States!!! I have a small bar fridge with:
    1x Lente
    1x Zommer
    1x Herfst
    1x Baller Stout
    2x Black Tokyo Horizon

    And that is it :/

Agreed. Particle board is cheap for a reason. If you are going to go through the trouble to do something, don't waste your time and money going cheapskate on it, otherwise wait until you have the funds to do it properly!

My super exciting boxed collection. Unfortunately, it's actually grown since I took this a month or so ago.
