I don't have a crazy cellar, but I have a few cases - maybe 5 or 6 total - that I'd like to keep below 60° or so. The apartment I'm moving to doesn't include basement access. What's a reasonable (ideally $400 or less) storage option? Chest freezers tend to have temperature ranges that max out well below 60°, and freestanding wine cellars tend to be small, expensive, and designed to hold 750 ml bottles on their sides at a specified humidity.

    Thanks in advance.

How is this on energy efficiency?

I think that depends almost entirely on the kind of fridge you get and what temperature you set the controller to.
