Im aging a bottle in hopes that the awful hops fade away in time.

Why are you buying whatever bottles are left of a beer you don't like fresh? It's not like it's Expedition or something that is known to age really well.

I am excited to try the Christmas Ale, though.

its not great right now, but its amazing in the actual Winter (the close to Christmas the better. Its had two-ish months, so the hops should be gone. Then its better. if its too old, its too dry.

and if you wanna try Christmas Ale, Ill be getting it on release day (which is November 1). youre welcome to come over that evening.

I tried a 2004 not long ago at a tasting. I was a little buzzed by that point, but I remember thinking it was pretty decent. I am sure it was way over the hill, though.

I had three of these today. It's a great beer, but the hops are just too heavy for my tastes. I really prefer it after some time in the cellar.

That said, I can't wait to have more Sucks in conjunction with Brown Shugga. Both awesome beers.

I thought it tasted similar to a hoppier version of Bell's This one Goes to 11

Have you tried any of those bottles yet? And if so, what did you think of it?

I tried to cellar it, but drank it. The hop profile is much better this year when fresh, so theres really no need to cellar it IMHO.

After a year it turns into a sticky/sweet mess, not worth it.

Thought it was doing very well at 6 months (although it's not the ideal late spring/early summer beer) at a year it tasted like burnt cookies, drank through the rest I had @ a year but hung on to one, will try again @ 2 or 3 to see if it turns a corner but I don't think you can unburn cookies.
