    I guess I should have answered the OP's question. My experience is that the sweetness dissipates a little over time, but does not disappear completely. This allows more complex flavors to come through.

    I just had a 2013 bbpt5, it was amazingly smooth. I think this all boils down to if you like your Imperial Stouts smoother or not, if you don't, don't age it.

    The BA is brewery release only for 4 Elf. That's the only way to get it. Or trade.

    Just had this for the first time and it was the most recent release which I believe was in February? Drinking really well and just a slight hint of alcohol. I'm going to drink another soon and then age the remaining 2 to compare to FIS and Ten Fidy Side by side because those are my go to RIS's. This at $10 for a 4 pack is way better than the $16 for ten fidy 4 packs around here.

    How available is this stuff? It's not distributed in Iowa and its a beer I was thinking of trading for.

    had a 4yr a few months back and it was outstanding, completely different beer but let acouple ride and see for yourself
