I have two bottles of Hillfarmstead E. and I'm wondering if I should drink both in the near future or if I could hang on to one for a while. I know Edward is the base beer so I'd guess the hops would fade.

I had my second bottle of E. about a month ago and the hoppiness was still definitely there, even though it was a couple months or so older than the first bottle I had. It might not have been quite as strong as fresh, but the hops definitely had not dropped off as much as I expected. I would definitely recommend opening one now just to get a good baseline.

Edward isnt necessarily the base beer. Its fermented with a saison yeast. Unless they changed it in the last batch. It should hold up fine with a little age. There might be an awkward stage when the hops start to really fade out.

Edward is the base beer. Yeasts are the difference.

I think with the brett it will be okay, I was at HF last week and while they recommend drinking it fresh, nothing bad will happen to it. Just no guarantee of improvement. I'm also holding on to a bottle.
