has anyone come across any noticeable negative affects from cellaring your bottles down flat in a wine cooler versus upright storage for extended years?

I have been using a wind fridge storing bottles on side for years. Best advice I can give you is to rotate the bottles at least once a month.

I just received a refrigerated 'wine cellar' and noticed that the 750s I began adding did not fit very well with the racks inside the fridge. The 750s have a wider body than most bottles of wine so I'm guessing this is normal but I don't want the racks roughing up the labels on my bottles.. I guess the only thing to do is remove every other rack in the fridge so they aren't rubbing against the bottles? Seems like the only thing to do at the moment but wondering if this is a common issue... my cellar fridge just went from a 36 bottle holder to something like 18 because of all the racks I had to remove

About turning bottles, sometimes the yeast builds up on one side. If you turn, that yeast will no longer be in contact with the beer. I'm sure that has some effect on it. I usually just slosh it around until it sinks again, but sometimes it's stuck for good.

Have noticed zero difference between laying down vs standing the last 5-6 years. But I've made a point of laying down anything corked for almost 2 years now, so far so good. Usually stand the capped bottles if possible.
