Just wanted to open this up. What're your guys thoughts on cellaring Petit Mutant from the February 2014 can release? It's a kriek-ish beer with brett but I could've sworn I saw somewhere someone saying that it's meant to be consumed fresh (mind you, I know a lot of beers are originally intended to be consumed fresh) but was curious as to what all of you thought regarding this subject, with this beer in particular.

I stashed two away in the cellar as I was curious what the brett might do over time. I've successfully aged a few different canned beers so I really have no worry on the effects of that.

The small print on the can says "American Brett ale with cherries". This is a pretty accurate discription based on my experience/opinion; I dont think this is remotely close to a kriek. I would say if you want the cherry flavor drink it now. If you like the brett aspect better than you can give the brett some time to work. When I drank a can earlier this week I dont see the beer getting better by sitting on it. Drink it fresh, thats my vote!
