Have some 9.75% Dark Horse Scotty Karate, what would 6-12 months do to this style?

Just dry it out a bit, taking away some of the sweetness.

Scotty does well with age. I'm a big fan of scotch ales, but Scotty has gone down iny ranking since finding better brews. I think it needs to loose the high alcohol presence fresh and let the malts warm up. I'm at a year ony current six pack, and it's better than fresh. I think it has the alcohol presence to sustain long term aging, and mellow much further
