Cellaring ST pumking

    Has anybody tried this and if so how long did you cellar it for until you tried a bottle? I just found a case of it yesterday and bought it and wanted to try to cellar one or two of them.

    I always get a case when it comes out and lay at least four/five down. I had a bottle a few weeks back and it was very smooth, not as boozy as it is when fresh.

    My buddy and I did a side-by-side when the fresh 2011 Pumking came out, along side a 2010 bottle. Personally I love it fresh and really did not enjoy it aged. The aged (2010) lost almost all its spices and became very malty. Those over-the-top fresh spices that make Pumking what it is were all but gone. Drink it fresh!

    I just had a bottle of last years with a buddy of mine sunday night.It was still pretty tasty.I prefer it as fresh as possible though,to get that S.Tier Pumking blast.
