Is the new Chuck's location in the CD still opening soon? I just walked past at lunch and it looks abandoned.
Hey, We are being held up by the city. The building we are leasing has only ever been retail space. We are changing it into a restaurant and it requires making a lot of changes to the building. We are trying to get a better understanding of the requirements so that we can finish all our construction in one shot. Right now we're on schedule to open in late June or early July. The anticipation is killing me. Jordan
Chuck really wants the store opened for Summer, but it seems he keeps running to setback after setback.
Per their FB Page: Hey folks, We'll be hosting an open house this Friday from 3:00-11:00pm. We will still be making a lot of tweaks, additions and adjustments. Our intention is to meet the people that have been anxiously anticipating our opening. We will have limited draft until we get closer to our grand opening. Our store is going to be a work in progress until we can figure out how to best serve the Central District. Thank you guys for all of your support.
I checked it out on Friday and drove by Saturday as well. Both nights the place was packed. The space looks awesome and Chuck said they're shooting to have the biggest selection in the state--and an ice cream section too. Great job, Chuck!
We're running 18 taps until the demand picks up. We don't like stale beer. We will have 6 ciders, 2 nitros, 41 beers and 1 root beer. Food trucks start this Friday. I would estimate that we have like 800 beers right now. We'll be expanding over the next few months. Grand opening should be the end of this month. Thanks, Jordan.
