I am not sure how many people on here are from Central Jersey, but I have a not so bad dilemma. I have been buying way more than I have been drinking. Not all of it is world class or something worth saving, but most are too heavy or large to drink all of myself and I moved this way for work- so none of my beer drinking friends live nearby.

So I am looking for some people who would like to do a bi-monthly (or something similar) tasting. Maybe there is already a group that I could join in on.

I should have mentioned where I am. My fault. I live near Jackson. Would be willing to travel to do this.

My definition of "central" may have been a little too broad. Sorry man.

I dont think you are too far. Especially if someone who can host is in the middle. Freehold or East Windsor perhaps.

I might be interested in this, depending upon when it happens. I could probably contribute a unique item or two to the tasting as well.
I'm in the New Brunswick area.

I'm in Collingswood, but would be willing to drive. I grew up in East Brunswick and the parents still live there

Looks like enough people to start. Who's hosting?

I've got a decent little setup in my basement and I could probably host something. I can do something on Thursdays, Fridays or Saturdays.

We may not always need a host. There are lots of great BYO restaurants across the state that would work for our purposes, too

My apartment is pretty small, but if @dmac621 is willing to host, we could try that. I know Toms River is a little far for some people.

and since there is enough people, lets look at a date that we would have some time to make arrangements. How about the last weekend of this month or first of next month. I would imagine a friday night or saturday would work best.

So January 30/31 or February 6/7.

If anyone else is willing to host, post that as well. The more centralized, the better chance we have of getting more people.

Edit: The BYO option is a pretty good idea. The only issue is if the place will give multiple glasses or let us wash them. I know I wouldn't want to drink a sour and a stout out of the same glass without rinsing.

I have about 1.5 cases of tasting glasses left over from my wedding if we can pick a day I can make it - and we always have the option to BYO glass

For now February 6/7 work for me, with a preference to Friday (6th).

    Now what's everyone bringing?

I have a Kane ANTEAD regular and a Cantillon Classic Gueuze in the super ultimate section of my cellar.

here are a couple good ones I have. If people don't have that level of beers, it doesnt have to be super rare beers, but I would love to try ANTEAD.

    KBS '13
    BCBS '14
    BCBBW '14
    Cantillon Classic Gueuze
    Rodenbach Caractere Rouge
    HF Arthur and Dorothy
    Love Child No 4
    BA Narwhal

have way too much other stuff too. So we can either pick a style or something and go with it.
