Would like some feedback on offers and preferably completed trades people have done with 16. What were you looking to get, did you get it, etc? I'm maybe more interested in getting a few non - distribution beers than just one other pretty rare 750ml/22oz beer. Things from Prairie, Jester King, and so on

    Thanks

1:1 for Bo & Luke (older batch)
    1:1 for BORIS Van Wink
1:2 for Prairie Noir, Prairie Vanilla Noir (this year's 12-oz bottles)

These were all IP in Chicago shortly after the release. All roughly $4$. Not going to get more than that since 16 sat on the shelves at the brewery for a long time, but there should still be people outside the Midwest willing to trade for it. Cheers!

Yeah- fortunately CW brewed enough 16 that it has been plentiful around the Midwest. Unfortunately that means you'll mostly get $4$ for it, possibly a bit more, but probably nothing super rare. I'd give it a few years or offer it as part of a package to land something more rare.

How much was it at the brewery per bottle? And it was 8 bottles person yes?

$15 per bottle, 8 per person (though many people proxied and likely ended up with more than 8). And as said above, it was sold at the brewery after the anniversary party for some time, though CW is sorta in the middle of nowhere.

16 is surprisingly good, and since its trade value is nominal, it's almost better to hold on to it and enjoy.

Traded a regular mexican cake for a CW16 straight up.

16 will age well, especially with no coffee involved.

    1. $4$ as a part of a bigger trade using limited and shelf-ish beers.
    2. Got one as an extra. Awesome trader for sure.

I traded 2xCoolships and 1xAtrial for Mocha Wednesday and CW16...seems to trade $4$ for something decent but not overly "rare".

16 is going to be better than the vast majority of beers you could trade it for.

Are bottles still available at the brewery or did they finally sell out?

I believe they are sold out now.

If I remember correctly I traded a '12 BCBCS bomber for a 16. We had some other little things involved in it but that was the main trade. Completed this recently as well.

Exactly! CW 16 is soo underrated its not even funny. Such a great BA stout. Definitely the best CW anniversary stout so far. And yes... CW 16 is also better than Black Gold.

CW 16 is an exceptional beer. I have personally drank at least 6 bottles this year but to compare it to Black Gold I would definitely disagree. I would put Black Gold behind just DB Huna as my best beer this year.

For folks who have had CW16, what other stouts are better tasting (taking rarity and price out of the equation).

Assassin. That's about it in my book for Bourbon BA Stouts. I have a feeling that BA Abraxas and DBH are probably up there, too. I'm not a big fan of BCBS-style uber-Imperial Stouts, I like a little more drink ability and balance. BA Speedway is also very good, but getting up there in ABV.
