Central Waters 16

If anyone has 16 and is interested in Prairie stuff. Let me know.

 

The only stout I'd take over CW16 is Assassin, though I've not had Rare, BA Damon, Remy's Pappy, or any of the DL variants, which all seem like good candidates to come out ahead.

I suspect Black Gold with some age on it may be better than 16; the couple of times I've had BG it was still pretty fresh and came on a little stronger than I would prefer.

 

This beer blows the majority of sought after stouts out of the ball park. It's insanely good.

 

Parabola, BCBS, Black Note...is CW16 better?

 

Yeah. Definitely. Although 2012 Black Note might have been just as good if not better.

 

Definitely better than BCBS or Black Note. IMHO with Parabola it's a toss-up – CW16 has better flavor, but Parabola has greater complexity.

 

for me... no, yes, yes.

i'm also in the camp that CW16 is vastly underrated. it's an excellent beer.

 

So, I'd like to try this beer. Think a Vietnamese Speedway Stout would get it done 1:1?

 

That's quite fair IMO.

 

16 is great but I think BA Silhouette is a little better.

 

Got a trade hooked up for a CW 16 and a NG Fruit, for a BA Sexual Chocolate. Excited to try it, everything I've had from CW has been terrific, a fair trade IMO for a BA Brewery only release.
