You have yet to have Karben4 Silk Scorpion. I have not had the LF BF IPA though.

For what its worth, 365 days ago tomorrow, the central waters 16th anniversary party was announced

From the CW Facebook page (a couple days ago):
Central Waters Brewing Company Yep, party is set for Sat, Jan. 24th. Look for a more detailed post with all the info coming soon!

So they confirmed the date and the fact that it will be happening (no surprise), but no other details yet.

Anyone have hotel advice? I believe I read that last year the shuttle stopped at La Quinta and Holiday Inn; not a huge fan of either of those two chains.. does the shuttle stop anywhere else? Are either of those two hotels decent?

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Conference Center. The rooms were really nice, but $$$. I believe the shuttle stopped there, but we decided to drive.

For the amount of time we spend in our rooms, it could be a flophouse for all I care. The shuttle stopped just about right across the street at the Holiday (I think) last year. Within stumbling distance.

And I hope they make as much 17 as 16!

CW just posted on fb and said that more info would be out in a "week or so" regarding 17, hotels, shuttles, etc.

I agree I though amputation of both of my frozen feet may have been a distinct possibility at the time.

The worst part for me last year was freezing outside waiting for the shuttle. That was a bit ridiculous imo...

edit: not saying the brewery could do anything else, but it sucked!

For those who have done the hotel route in the past, do you typically stay just Saturday night, or do most people do Friday and Saturday?

Trying to figure out a game plan with some buddies soon.

More info posted today; changes include:

    1) bottle sales will be inside the brewery (hurray!)
    2) no will call; must bring an actual ticket; ie no more checking names off a list (hurray!)
    3) 1 proxy allowed per person (hurray!)

To me, these are welcome and well thought out changes. Should make for a much quicker and more pleasant beer purchasing experience.

Ok, I'll be first... anyone willing to proxy some bottles for me? We had baby number two on Darkness day eve, so I don't get out much lately. Looks like a fantastic event though. Maybe next year!

Just saw the posting as well! Grabbed a hotel room for Saturday night as well!

PRO TIP for anyone staying the night:
If anyone is looking, I was able to snag the Holiday Inn in Stevens Point through one of the mystery/express deals (priceline for me, but most of the travel sites have these). $80 with tax for Saturday night. Just filter to Stevens point (not area), do a 3 star, you should see a price around $65 (ends up being $80). Hopefully it works out for you as well!

We did La Quintas last year and hated it. The hallways stunk of sewer. We did Holiday Inn Express this year. Kind of $$$ but o'welll.

Just had 16 yesterday and I was blown away. As a guy from SoCal would I be able to proxy through a fellow Midwesterner?

My buddy and I are unable to make it this year but are looking for someone to proxy for us (just need one proxy for the two of us)

For proxying we'll offer a de garde bu, something shelf crooked stave and $20 for gas, in addition to paying for the bottles of course.

BM if you're interested in helping us out!
