    Hi

What year did CW use Shiny Labels? Below is the link to the profile. I heard they cut the time in the barrel after a certain year? what years were those years and are the shiny labels all the full year aged ones?

    Thanks

3 years ago and prior? This year's is 2014 bb stout right? And I don't recall the labels looking like that in 2013 or 2012.

The 2011 stouts popping up around the city have the old labels. I'm not sure of shiny vs. non-shiny. Also agree that 2012 was first year with the new black ones (on the stout).

2009 was the last set to have shiny labels, at least for the BBBW. Since the stout is a December release (can't remember if it was always the case) it could be either a 2008 or 2009 for the last shiny one. 2009 Y2K is shiny and that is a December release as well, so my guess is it was 2009 across the board.

I think the OP was referring to when the old labels went from a foil look to a regular label look. The winter of 2012-2013 was the first for the newest labels. When they were in Junction City (2006 and before), they had a shinier label, but it didn't have the foil look. They also said Junction City on the bottle (I know at least Y2K does, as that's all I have from that long ago).

Also, to answer the other question, I am not sure how long certain vintages were aged, but I know that when they changed to the new label, the aging time increased from the year before to a full year.

Looks like this has been answered pretty well already but I thought I would add a vote. I'm almost positive the 2009 beers were the last with shiny labels, they were the same labels minus the shiny from 2010 until the new labels came out. If I remember right when they changed to the newest labels all the BA beers were aged a full year. The only pre 2012 brewer reserve BA stuff that was aged a full year in the barrel were a separate batch in 2007 with a green sticker stating 1 Year Aged.
I could dig through the cellar to verify the dates but that's too much work!
