Central Waters BB Scotch Ale

    Has anyone had any experience aging Central Waters BB Scotch Ale? It's great fresh, but I know some people like aging scotch ales, so I'm wondering if anyone with this one.

    Love this beer, but not a fan of it aged at all. But my opinion seems to be in the minority based on all the posts in the Central Waters thread.

    I feel this beer peaks with around a year on it. It's fantastic fresh so it's hard to keep stashed away.

    The optimal point seems to be around eighteen months. IMHO it cellars way better than Backwoods Bastard or Wulver, its two closest competitors.

    I did a side by side on the 3 a couple months back. CW and Backwoods were close with CW on top. Wulver wasn't even in the ballpark.

    Thanks for the input guys. Based on this, I'll finish two of my four packs now this summer, have another four pack around a year and the final four pack around 18 months!
