Central Waters BBBW in IL?

Funny. I went into Binnys Niles and asked if they had the Central Waters Bourbon Barleywine and the guy went into the backroom and brought out a Y2K bomber. I still bought it but was surprised

 

Damn I'm probably going to drive to WI to get some of this beer, it's one of my favorites. Haven't seen it in the west suburbs yet, though, Binnys in Downers Grove tweeted they got it in with a limit of 2btl/person.

If anyone from the west suburbs is driving up to Wisconsin and can get me a case or a half, I will repay you greatly for your actions, in $, beer, and/or ZJ's.

I'm having a hard time finding any CW BBBW this year around the suburbs of Chicago. Can anyone help me locate a case? I'd be willing to drive up to Wisconsin but it would be helpful to know where to start calling around for it. I'm in Elgin, IL - so the closer the better.

but yeah - i haven't seen this anywhere in chicago outside of the very small about bottles and cans received.

 

I gave Beer Menus a shot last week. Each place that I called said they didn't have it available. But looking at that site again today, it seems to be more up to date. I'll give some places a call and if that doesn't work, I'll be making the trip North to buy some.

My buddy was in Madison this past weekend, said there was a shit ton of it....

 

If you decide to head North you can get draft pours of BBBW for $4-$5 in Madison (and other cities I'm sure). Cheap as hell!

 

Woodman's in Beloit had 3 or 4 cases a week ago...I suspect they don't move much of it but call ahead to check.

 

According to beermenus this hit the Foremost in Villa Park and Sal's Beverage World in Rolling Meadows yesterday.

For those who haven't seen, It hit Binny's Niles on Friday and I assume other Binny's. The guy in Niles said he only got 6 cases and probably wouldn't get any more.

Blowin' up my spot eh? No it's all good, stopped in there tonight and grabbed a few 4pks of BBBW, also had Bo and Luke on the shelf for $18.

 

I grabbed a 4pk at the Schaumburg Binnys on Friday, I had to ask for it...When I asked the beer guy told me they have had it since the release of BBS. It has been sitting around for so long that he started to put in on the shelves.

 

Grabbed a 4 pack at SL Binnys Sat. night but had to ask for it as they had it in the back. $13.99.

 

Can anyone update on where they have spotted this lately around Chicago?

 

Grabbed a pack yesterday at Binnys in Bolingbrook, but the guy said it was their last pack. I had to ask for it though, so it seems no one is putting these on the shelf.
