is it the same price as the stout?

 

I picked up 3 last night. That was the limit, I might go back for a couple more. They were $13 something, a little more than the stout was at the same place a couple months ago.

 

This Barley Wine is recommended! I'd buy it if it were distributed here. Top notch if you like Bourbon Barrel notes over Malted Barley richness!

 

Will be picking up 3-4 4pks, as usual to drink and stash some away too. One of my all-time favorites!

Bought 8 cases. My favorite of CW. I've got 5 years of stash of it as well. 1 case for each year gets saved. The rest I drink!

Damn, I thought I was hardcore buying a case and a half every year!

This could be the best aging beer in the country. Good fresh, but morphs to fantastic with a year on it.

It's really amazing to me how much worse this beer is than their BB Stout, which is fantastic. Tried it a few times, fresh and aged, don't see the appeal.

I tried but they wouldn't let me. They only got 10 cases, but since we are local the stores around here usually get 2nd and 3rd allocations sent to them. Plus it helps that I used to work at the liquor store in which I bought them at, but I've had my feelers out for a few months to see where I could get the best deal on multiple cases. As they say, the early bird gets the worm.

 

I paid about $12 per four pack all said and done. No tax either. Shhh don't tell uncle sam!

 

Got that right bud. The stuff turns into liquid butterscotch after a year or so. Next year I get to open my 5 year case, which will be 6 years old by then. I was tempted this year to open it but im gonna wait so I can keep a steady 5 year supply going.
