Has anyone heard if CW will be making the Cherry Stout again this year? I know they're having the 2013 variety on tap (in limited quantities) at the anniversary party this weekend, but no mention of a new batch for 2014.

Did a tasting with Anello earlier this year and he brought a growler of 2014 Cherry, and said it was limited this year. Didn't know limited meant none. Or maybe it's not bottled yet... but it exists. Surprised they wouldn't even put on one keg for the party though.

My guess is that it is keg only this year. The wet hop never made it to bottles either in the fall.

I mentioned this in another thread, but this would have been brewed in 2012, the year of the Cherry shortage. Not positive, but I'm thinking that may have played a role.

Drank a bottle of this last night and it is about perfect on my palate. The cherries taste real, the bourbon is mellow, and the chocolate is divine. This beer was meant for me to drink in the fall.

It was out in late spring/early summer (can't remember exact timing). It didn't last on the shelves too long, but I was able to get some in the fox valley area. It was the 2014 version.

Still taking up shelf space in my neck of the woods (NW WI). My least favorite of all the CW barrel beers.

BA Cherry was my favorite from CW this year (except for 16).

This weekend I made the dumb mistake (I think) of buying the $50 bomber of Three Floyds/Delilah's BA Cherry Stout and it's pretty much an exact clone of CW BA Cherry. I personally haven't had a better BA cherry stout. Not sure how Bell's offering was, but their regular cherry stout was terrible.

CW has one of the best quality : price ratios on the market for BA brews.

I thought Bell's BA Cherry Stout was terrible (and agree that the regular is bad too), I'm guessing the hype is based on it's relative rarity and not taste. CW BA Cherry was awesome this year, I have a couple left but probably should have bought more.

I want to find this in Chicago. Oh, time to wake up from my dream...

Trying the 2014 and 2013 BB Scotch Ales was a treat I recently got to have. Central Waters' barrel aged beers are so good and so cheap for what they provide.

Saw it @ the village dell (rice lake) & island wines (Cumberland) as of a 2 weeks ago. I haven't been to either store since though.
