is Central Waters BR stuff easily accessible? Are Almanac sours a fair enough trade?

It's fair. They're seasonal though, you won't be able to get the stout for a few months unless someone is sitting on some.

I have had not trouble getting them from trading partners in KS, MN, and NY. Seem readily available.

They are pretty available on the shelves when they are released (4pk = $14 or so), MN didn't see BA Cherry last year(IIRC), but , as other have mentioned they are seasonal. I'd trade them with other limited/seasonal releases or comparable $4$ value of locals. They also make nice extras

You shouldn't have a problem. The Barleywine and Stout should both be releasing within the next couple of months... I don't recall which one comes first (I think the stout in December)... last year they were in the 13-15 dollar range per 4 pack and at least those 2 are plentiful. Almanac sours will easily pull all the CW out of WI you could want.

Their Scotch Ale is awesome IMO and it never made it out of WI this year according to the brewery. I'm not far from the boarder in IL and I should have made the drive up there because I kept waiting and waiting and it never made it. If you can get your hands on some I highly recommend it...

They are great beers, all of them. I usually give them away as extras because they are epic, fairly cheap, and easy for me to get when they're out. There's also a place near me that has 12 CW beers on tap at all times including at least one of the BA varieties. I expect to see the stout around soon.

In past years all of the BR series have been around for a pretty decent amount of time and it really wasn't hard to get them if you paid even a little bit of attention. This year they went a lot faster, with some varieties (e.g. the BB Cherry) gone in days or even hours at some shops. The consequence of increased awareness, I guess.

^^^This! They are great beers that are priced very reasonable.

I was lucky enough to get the last 2 4-packs of the BB scotch ale today at the Nova in Hudson, WI. I hope it's as good as last year's

Are you talking about the regular Scotch Ale (Slainte) or the CW Reserve (Bourbon Barrel Scotch Ale)?

Both made it out of WI this year.....at least into the NY market.

I was talking about the CW Reserve Scotch Ale. I got an email back from someone at the brewery saying it never made it out of WI but sounds like that was off. Either way I know for a fact it never made it to my neck of the woods, I was stalking it more than I probably should have been...

CW's national distribution footprint went up considerably last year, and really bit into the amount of BB Scotch Ale available in Wisconsin. The others were readily available, and there are still a few shops with BW and Cherry Stout on the shelf. BA Stout was also distributed as far as NY and our numbers here were slightly lower than previous years.

CW will continue to grow, so these might start going faster and faster around WI as national distribution increases.
