Thanks for the info! Always loved that beer.

Also with it most likely being $8-10 for a bomber, you cannot beat that price for the quality of beer you are getting.

Maybe I misheard, but for some reason I was thinking these were 4 packs this year. Maybe I’m thinking of something else.

Oh balls. Would that be a great deal. I’d love to not have to get together with another on that beer. I’m still wondering if they’ll switch entirely to cans, a la Revolution, at some point.

There will be no more bombers distributed this year. Everything is going to be in 4 packs unless it's brewery only.

They've communicated it to retailers several weeks back. Not sure if it was ever posted anywhere.

I wonder if CW got their label approval for Twenty One prior to the federal shutdown and wondering what will happen if they can't get it in time for the anniversary party. Or since it doesn't see distro does it not need approval? @RyanFindlay do you have any insight that you can share?

Unless the state of WI requires a TTB COLA for its state label approval/brand registration it should be fine is my understanding as this beer is not distributed out of state, which would then require the COLA.

And then mail the labels out to ticketholders once CW gets them after the party. Cool stickers.

    This is correct.

There are also guidelines about beer that isn't distributed (taproom only) that could potentially give them an exception.

TTB shutdown wouldn't affect 21 label as it's a brewery only release, those don't need the same approval.

To confirm what others have posted, yes, no more bombers in distro, those will be used exclusively for brewery only releases. You'll see some previous bomber releases showing up in other formats this year, beginning with 4pks of Rye Barrel Chocolate Porter very soon. Tangerine NEIPA 6pk cans to follow.

Looking forward to the new format of 4 packs vs bombers. Wish others would go that direction. The trend seems to be the opposite.

IDK. That CW Rye Barrel bomber that is still laying around Binny's shelves is a phenomenal value bomber. Great beer, and at what, $7.99 or $8.99? Can't remember which price it was. Haven't stepped into Binny's in about a week. I still have two of them, and may grab another.

Good point! I was just always blown away that you could get a very good coffee stout bomber for a few bucks, but really all their distro bombers were a great deal

Anyone else looking forward to revisiting Space Ghost in a format they can actually finish solo? I love spicy stuff but a whole bomber of that beer becomes a bomb in my tummy.

I see that here but not in the marketplace here. Canada gets 12 oz btls of CBS we get bombers. High Willetized went from 12 oz to bombers.

    I hope you are right.

Yeah, Willettized was a strange change-up for Lagunitas. But CBS is an outlier for the Founders barrel-aged series. Most other releases in that series appear to be transitioning to 12oz packaging. New Glarus took its 750mL fruited sours to 12oz packaging (with an exception for the 2018 holiday season). I think more brewers are changing in Central Waters' direction, as opposed to the other way.

At a quick glance I thought "120 Minute Anniversary Stout!" Due to the gold color against the lighter background reminding me of the hop image on the 120 Minute IPA label. I know the CW one is metallic gold and will likely look different in person, but that doesn't carry over in photos. Quite a departure from the darker color schemes of the past which seem to fit better for a dark beer.
