Central Waters Illumination

Not sure if anyone cares, but I was at the brewery on Saturday and was able to buy Illumination, Space Ghost, and 4 bottles of 16 Anniversary beer. Might be worth a drive there if you don't live that far away.

Riley's has it now in Madison... Sounds like most other places will release it tomorrow. I think they got in something like 5 cases, so there is less than I would have guessed, unless they are going to drop a second round on the area in a week or two?

Sidenote: Wasn't really looking for it... But they also had SN Hoptimum that was bottled on 04.14.14... For people looking for a fresh DIPA fix?

 

If I could vote for post of the year this would be it. My dad happened to be at a conference in Stevens Point Monday/Tuesday. I didn't know but just happened to call him Monday night just after reading this post - completely unrelated. The end game here... got my 4 bottles yesterday and removed my IP post to give up Dark Lord for it. Thank you sir!!!

Wow, you are correct. This is a massive tropical hop bomb this year and it is fantastic. I bumped my rating in taste up from a 4 to a 4.75. Anyone know if CW used different combination of hops this year? If you like tropical IPAs, I highly recommend you get some.

 

How much does the new 6 pack run?

 

I paid $13.99. It really is incredibly tasty this year. The new Lakefront DIPA and Black Husky DIPA also just landed (both very tasty), so we have a bunch of great fresh brews to consume!

 

I paid $11.99 for it at Woodmans.

At a CW tap takeover on Wednesday in Milwaukee, this kicked I think BEFORE 16 did. Did not get to try it, ha. Figured 16 woulda been the first to go so I thought I was safe....

 

I drank an Illumination right after a Drit Wolf. Wow did the pineapple notes stand out. It's uncommon for me to buy multiple 6 packs of a beer, but I just bought my second of this fantastic IIPA. I wish CWs regular IPA was this good.

 

Just picked up a 6-pack at Woodman's - this year's batch is exceptionally tasty. I've bought singles the previous couple of years and never went back for more. Looks like that will end this year.

I'm buying a case first chance I get. Has been one of my favorites for a few years now.

 

That is what I thought last year. Much more tropical this year.

 

That's awesome. Brewery has it for $15.

 

Apparently the CW distributor for the, somewhat far, west burbs is unreliable in one way or another and is not currently distributing this beer.
