Didn't get a chance to go last year but I was just able to buy a 5$ ticket to secure my 8 bottles!

Excited to see how this turns out because sixteen has been my favorite beer (after bcbs).

They are selling the remainder after 7pm... I don't know if I want to risk it or not

They had tons of 16, so I am only a little sad to not be able to make this. I'll just drive up in a few weeks and grab a bunch.

A couple of people told me they are making less this year. But that wasn't confirmed by anyone.

Thanks. I got sixteen in August so I suspect waiting until Feb or March will still allow me to get some but I understand its a gamble! Damn good beer that 16:grinning: Hope 17 is at least as good.

Honestly after going to the black gold release you're probably guaranteed as much as you want.

CW has mastered brewing BA beers in quantity and selling them at the right price. I still have no idea how they were able to make that much 16 and make it so great. Also worth noticing that there is no price increase between 16 & 17, despite the rave reviews for 16 and the current craft beer climate where folks seemingly have no issue plunking down $20-30 for BA beers and sours, some from un-tested breweries.

Wowzers. I really need to move back to Wisconsin. I'm not aware of any breweries within an hour of me (near Annapolis) that have any limited releases for awesome and highly sought-after beers and this sort of event would be a lot of fun.

I agree and I'm one of those guys who plunks down $20-30 for BA beers, but not from un-tested breweries:wink:

Yeah, and you can still call the brewery with a question and actually speak with the brewer! Seriously awesome folks up there.

I never had a chance to try Sixteen, are these beers that never make it to distribution?

17...blahblahblah. Anyway, are they gonna have the BA BW avail in cases again this year? It's usually a given, but thought I'd ask.

Between Central Waters and New Glarus, there is ten times the awesomeness of any breweries within an hour of my current location. My favorite local brewery is easily Heavy Seas and I like them a lot, don't get me wrong, but they're not remotely in the same league as New Glarus. Dogfish Head is more like 1.5 hours away so not terribly far, but I'd still take New Glarus any day of the week. I actually haven't had any Central Waters beer yet but I'm planning on picking some up when I visit WI at Christmas. Shooting for the bourbon barrel barleywine, bourbon barrel stout, and the coffee stout - I think I should be able to get the first two at least. And of course I'd get Sixteen if by some miracle I run across it. Anything else I should look for?

No coffee stout (barrel aged or otherwise) this year, but if you're not going to be able to make it to the brewery, I would set up an IP trade for CW16, Rye Barrel Chocolate Porter, and Headless Heron (BB pumpkin scotch ale) while you're here. (Headless could possibly still be available on shelves, but the other two are brewery-only.)

Postpone your trip or have a relative pick you up some seventeen. It's gonna be amazing. Shit there might even be some sixteen still available. They made so much.

Wondering why not Brewhouse Coffee Stout this year. I drank that more often (and enjoyed it more) than Breakfast Stout.

My understanding is no Brewhouse because they have too many other balls in the air. It sounds like there may be some surprises from CW in the next few months.
